body found in napa could be missing nursing student

A body matching the physical description of Phuong Le, the Suisun City woman who has been missing since April 25, has been found in rural Napa County: Body of woman found near Fairfield highway. Details are still coming together, but Le's family has been notified. I can't imagine what they must be going through.
The body was found by a woman walking her dog at about 9:15 a.m., said Fairfield police Lt. Darrin Moody. The remains were located about 30 to 40 yards off Highway 121, also known as Monticello Road, south of Highway 128, about halfway between Fairfield and Lake Berryessa, authorities said.

The body was that of a young woman with a "similar physical description to the previously reported missing person," said Moody, referring to Phuong Le, a 24-year-old Suisun City woman who has been missing since April 25, when she was last seen at a Fairfield bookstore.
The coroner has taken custody of the remains to confirm the woman's identity and determine how she died. Obviously, this possible break in the case gives way to more questions than answers. More to come on this story as it develops: Body Found in Calif. May Be Missing Nursing Student.

In related news, the asshole of the year award goes to the jerk prankster in Pennsylvania who sent fake text messages to Phuong Le's brother claiming to have knowledge of her whereabouts. Police have charged the man with electronic harassment: Man Arrested In Connection With Missing Nurse Case.
