The killed victim has been identified as 30-year-old Herbert Hin Wong, a native of China who acted in adult films under the name "Tom Dong" and even appeared in several films with the suspect, 30-year-old Stephen Hill:

Police investigators said the 30-year-old Van Nuys resident was mortally wounded after coming to the aid of a co-worker who was attacked Tuesday night at the offices of a Van Nuys video production facility.Police are still searching for Hill, and are unsure whether he is nearby or has left the area. Stephen Hill, 30, has been identified as the suspect in the incident, in which three people were stabbed, authorities said.
Wong was described by industry colleagues as a gentle, soft-spoken man. He appeared with Hill, who acted under the name "Steve Driver," in at least two films, according to one of the companies that employed the men.
