Some of my friends got together and made a film: Race Blenders, written and directed by Huy Chheng. It's a response to Hollywood's racist casting practices. Heard of yellowface? Um, this is whiteface... and it ain't pretty. Have a look:
A. Knight Shalalala? "The Last Airshifter"? Not so subtle, but you get the idea. Worst whiteface ever! But then again... it doesn't look any better or worse than when Hollywood films have put the godawful Oriental makeup on a white actor. (Special shout outs to my former film festival cohorts Huy, Jim and Elena.)
