another asian man attacked in san francisco

Over the weekend in San Francisco, police arrested three men in the stabbing and robbery of man in Dolores Park. The victim, an Asian male in his 40s, was walking along when he was confronted by the gang: Three arrested in Dolores Park robbery, stabbing.
The group robbed him of his backpack, then beat him and stabbed him five times, Jean said. He then "stumbled" through the park to between 19th and Cumberland streets, where he was picked up by an ambulance.

Police set up a perimeter around the park and arrested three suspects. Two were adults, 18 and 20 years old, and the third was a 17-year-old boy on probation, Jean said. All three suspects were San Francisco residents. Police are still searching for as many as nine more suspects.

The victim was targeted for his backpack and did not appear to know the suspects, police said. He is recovering at San Francisco General Hospital.
Police originally said that as many as a dozen people took part in the attack, but detectives have determined that some were bystanders. The three suspects -- aged 17, 18 and 20 -- were arrested on suspicion of robbery and attempted murder. More here: More suspects sought in Dolores Park stabbing.
