asian american center for advancing justice hosting post-midterm election briefing for community members

Next Wednesday, the Asian American Center for Advancing Justice will be holding a post-midterm election briefing for community members. The briefing will discuss potential challenges and opportunities for the immigrant rights movement in the new political environment.

Speakers will provide an overview of anticipated federal, state and local anti-immigrant legislation and potential strategies to combat such initiatives, as well as address potential movement on immigrant rights issues when Congress reconvenes later this month for a lame-duck session.

Speakers will also discuss recent Asian American voter protection work, reflect on successes of Asian American candidates, the confirmation prospects of Asian American judicial nominees, and the upcoming redistricting process. Here's the basic info:
