ucla labor center screening/discussion: renee tajima-pena's labor women


Next week, if you happen to be at or around UCLA, you are invited to the UCLA Labor Center's screening and discussion of Labor Women, Renee Tajima Pena's 2002 documentary about the stories of three immigrant daughters engaged in labor organizing. It's happening Wednesday, November 17 at UCLA Rolfe 1200. Here are some more details:

Please join us for a film screening and panel highlighting Asian Pacific American labor organizing in Los Angeles. We will be screening the film "Labor Women" by Renee Tajima-Pena, a documentary about the stories of three immigrant daughters engaged in labor organizing. Finally, we will have a panel of speakers who will discuss the issues of Asian American workers and how Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA) is mobilizing youth into the labor movement.
