The victims were waiting with friends at the Lonsdale Quay bus loop near the Seabus terminal in North Vancouver when they were approached by three young men who demanded money before attacking them with a knife and a machete:

On Jan. 31, police tracked down and arrested three suspects.
They are facing aggravated assault and possible robbery charges, as well as breach of parole conditions.
They have been identified as 18-year-old Blair Benedict, 18-year-old Christopher Lambert, both of North Vancouver, and a 17-year-old Surrey resident.
The students are recovering from the attack and have returned to Korea, said police.
