A little while back I posted The Brothers Mario, a clever fake game trailer that re-imagines Super Mario Brothers in the gritty style of Grand Theft Auto. The Country Club, aka Nathan Kitada & Aaron T. Umetani, the guys behind the original video, recently posted a sequel: Brothers Mario 2: Kong Country. It's also pretty awesome. Take a look:
Lots more funny in-jokes drawing from expanded Mario universe -- Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Toad, Yoshi... even Wario and Waluigi. Yes, they go there. Old-school Nintendo fans will get a big kick out of this.
I'd play this game. Hell, I'd watch this movie. And if you like Nintendo humor, you should also check out the fake (and gruesome) Duck Hunt 3D trailer. It's Duck Hunt re-imagined in the style of... um, Birdemic.
