2011 oca national convention, august 4-7

Heads up. OCA will be holding the 2011 National Convention next month in New York City. The theme of this year's convention is "Advocacy Through Compassion - A New York State of Mind," which a schedule packed with speakers, panels and networking events to inspire philanthropy and activism within the APA community. It's happening August 4-7 at the Grand Hyatt at the Grand Central Terminal in New York City. Here are some more details:

OCA-New York is the host of this year's OCA National Convention, which will take place from August 4 - 7, with some ala carte excursions planned on August 3 and August 7.

Please go to www.ocanational.org to register! Please register by July 7 to take advantage of the early bird special rate of $350 -- which will give you access to all meal events, including Friday night's Haute Couture New York Event and Saturday Night Awards Gala, as well was to all workshops, exhibits and job fair.

Special FREE Tracks that require preregistration include Youth Day and Youth Leadership Day, College Day and College Leadership Day, Small Business Summit and the Employee Resource Summit.

Access to all non-meal sessions, including Plenary Sessions, Workshops, Exhibits. Health Fair and Job Fair are FREE! Yes, FREE! You can just come on by -- no pre-registration is needed.
Wish I could make it. Sounds like they've got a solid slate of workshops and speakers. There will also be an awards gala honoring Dr. Bobby Fong of Ursinus College, actor B.D.
