Come join us for the Presentation of the 2011 Film & Television Winners and Finalists with a Staged Reading of the Winning Scripts from 2010!

With submissions from the United States and all over the world (including Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan), the prestigious CAPE New Writers Awards has launched the careers of numerous APA Writers over the past eleven years. The winners of the Screenwriting and Television categories receive a $4,000 cash prize, the latest Final Draft software, a Staged Reading of their winning script, and meetings with prominent entertainment industry producers and executives -- offering them exposure among studio executives, producers, and agents and managers.
As you know, I spend a lot of time whining about the crappy state of Asian American representation in Hollywood. Sorry. But I also fully acknowledge that the only way we'll truly be able to tell our stories is if we create them ourselves, and that begins on the page. That's why initiatives like this are important.
