The assailant then fled in a Nissan to the Plant shopping center at Monterey Road and Curtner, about a mile away. There, police believe Castillo came across Nguyen, who apparently was experiencing some trouble with her white Lexus.
Nguyen had called her boss, Nick Pham, "asking for one of us to help come out and give her a jump because her battery died," Pham told reporters. "Five minutes later, she called back and said a Hispanic person is offering to help her. And that's the last we heard of her."
