Anyone else crazy excited about the upcoming zombie-filled second season of AMC's The Walking Dead? I am. Word on the street is, there will be more undead action and drama than you can swing a shovel at. In this behind-the-scenes video, Steven Yeun (who plays Glenn) promises that this season will "blow your face off" (I think that's supposed to be a good thing):
Things are going to get extra crazeballs. It looks like they're going to loosely follow one of the major storylines from the comic book (including a romance for Glenn), though events in the first season have already deviated from the source material. Which is cool, because it keeps even the hardcore fans guessing.
Here's a good interview Steven Yeun did last month while appearing at the 2011 Detroit Fanfare comic book convention: Steven Yeun of 'The Walking Dead' talks comics, Internet rumors, and more.
Poupard: "Do you see more roles coming out in the near future for Asian actors?"Season two of The Walking Dead premieres Sunday, October 16 on AMC.
Yeun: "I certainly hope so. I can see that there is a shift going on in Hollywood that is much more open to more ethnicities. It is getting better, but it is on Asian Americans as well to take this very seriously. They have to want this without getting caught up in the game of it, but in the process of it. They need to get the training for the roles. Many people, not just Asians, are more concerned with hustling and getting to meetings with contacts to gain success. I am sure that it has a lot to do with it, but not everything to do with it. At the end of the day, if you can't say a line right, it does not matter who your contacts are."
