According to Rep. Garrett, people of "other ethnicities" are not as "straight-forward" as those good ol' Midwesterners, because those shady people of other ethnicities are always saying s#%t they don't mean:
[Local business leader Richard C. Spanier] said the best people to do business with are those in the American Midwest because of their "straight-forward" attitude.Oh, I see. Thanks for the clarification. You meant people in other countries? People in other countries aren't as straight-forward as American Midwesterners? How is this any less of a stupid comment?
"Other ethnicities are not that way," Garrett said. "They'll say yes to you constantly and then you'll realize they really didn't mean it."
Garrett said after the meeting he meant people in other countries.
I'm not even sure what any of this has to do with the state of New Jersey, but it's nice to know the congressman (who serves a district that's 80 percent white) holds such a high opinion of "other ethnicities."
