american cinematheque presents studio ghibli retrospective, january 26 - february 12



Yo, anime fans. And fans of really good movies. If you're in Los Angeles, a big treat is coming your way. This month and next month, American Cinematheque is presenting CASTLES IN THE SKY: MIYAZAKI, TAKAHATA AND THE MASTERS OF STUDIO GHIBLI, January 26 to February 12.

This is a comprehensive 14-film retrospective of Studio Ghibli, one of the most successful and well-respected animation studios in the world. From My Neighbor Totoro to Spirited Away, as well seldom-seen films like Pom Poko, Only Yesterday and My Neighbors the Yamadas. Here are some more details on the series:
