This week in NBA news... 6-foot-10 Chinese forward Yi Jianlian, who recently signed a one-year contract with the Dallas Mavericks, was recalled from the D-League and made his debut with the team in Detroit: China's Yi makes NBA debut for champion Mavericks. Yi has spent the past four seasons in the NBA, most recently with the Washington Wizards, with career averages of 8.5 points and 5.3 rebounds. He also recently helped the Chinese national team secure a spot on in the 2012 London Olympics. I think he's ready to play:

Not a strong showing But no doubt, the Mavericks are hoping to make Yi a very strategic part of the organization's connection in China. There's money to be made, dammit.
The 24-year-old Chinese playmaker came off the bench for 5:24, grabbing a rebound and making a foul in his season debut.
The 7-foot forward joined the Mavericks for his first workout on Tuesday morning, Yi declaring himself ready for the challenge of the NBA campaign.
"I will be ready to play," Yi said.
