China Care Bruins is holding its biggest charity event, Awareness Night, in collaboration with MEMO (Medical, Educational Missions and Outreach) and the Asian Pacific Coalition at UCLA. We will be facilitating a panel with a diverse array of speakers involved in academia, adoption issues, and the medical field, who will be discussing about how they have worked thus far to provide medical care and counseling to orphans and foster children.
Throughout the event, all monetary proceeds by attendees will be donated to China Care Foundation Inc, a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to give special needs orphans the opportunity for a better life and to empower youth through direct humanitarian service. This year, we hope to help Qiang, a three year old boy who was born with a spina bifida. He has already undergone some surgery, but is still in need of more medical attention for him to fully recover. If you would like more information about him, please visit: http://www.chinacare.org/help/proposals/802-mp
Tickets will be available at UCLA's Central Ticket Office a week before the event (limit 4 per person). Admission is Free.
