matcha: taking up space, july 26

Hey, San Francisco! The Asian Art Museum invites you to another evening out for MATCHA, their monthly after-hours art/music mixer event. This month, it's time to explore life, death and the cosmos. What's it all about? Find out Thursday, July 26 at the Asian Art Museum. Want to win some free passes? See below for more details:
MATCHA: Taking Up Space
Asian Art Museum
Thursday, July 26, 5-9 pm
$10 (includes entry to Phantoms of Asia)

For one night only, artist led project SpaceBi brings together 28 local artists in a friendly takeover of the museum. See their works inspired by and sometimes critical of the museum (it's tough love). Enjoy solo shows in the store, pop up karaoke, fruit costumes, printed tortillas, alternative tours of the collection galleries, participatory activities, and more. Check out contemporary art exhibition Phantoms of Asia and have some art lovin’ fun with drinks, dancing, and our DJ-in-residence Vin Sol.
Want to win free tickets to MATCHA? The Asian Art Museum is giving away pair of passes to one lucky, randomly drawn winner. All you have to do is email jyin@asianart.org by July 22 with your name and phone number, and the subject line "I wanna take up space at the Asian Art Museum." You'll be contacted if you win.

For further information about the next MATCHA event, go here or check out the Facebook event here. For more information about the Phantoms of Asia exhibit, which runs through September 2, go to the Asian Art Museum website here.
