2013 Public Interest Legal Fellowships
The Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF), a New York-based national organization, invites applicants to submit proposals for Skadden or Equal Justice Works fellowships, to begin fall 2013.
AALDEF, founded in 1974, promotes and protects the civil rights of Asian Americans through litigation, advocacy, and community education. AALDEF has a 21-person staff and is supported by foundations, individual contributions and special events. Qualifications:
* Law school graduate by spring 2013
* Excellent legal research and writing skills
* Knowledge of human trafficking, labor and employment law, and human rights issues
* Spoken fluency in an Asian language is preferred
* Familiarity with Asian American community issues preferred
Salary: Based on fellowship award amount.
