asian american and pacific islander communities and deferred action for childhood arrivals webinar, september 12



Heads up, DREAMers. The Asian American Center for Advancing Justice, Asian Students Promoting Immigrant Rights through Education, United We Dream, South Asian Americans Leading Together and a host of other AAPI organizations are holding a webinar next week for undocumented youth seeking to understand how to apply for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). It's happening the evening of Wednesday, September 12. Here are some more details:

What: The Asian American Center for Advancing Justice (Advancing Justice), Asian Students Promoting Immigrant Rights through Education (ASPIRE), United We Dream (UWD), Alliance of Korean American Students in Action (AKASIA), National Federation of Filipino American Association (NaFFAA), Organization of Chinese Americans(OCA), API Equality- Northern California, API Equality-LA, South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT) and National Korean American Service & Education Consortium (NAKASEC) will be hosting a webinar about Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) DREAMers and communities. AAPI DREAMers will be moderating this webinar as well as sharing our experiences on the importance of advocacy and organizing by undocumented youth. Attorneys will provide information about DACA and how to apply. Resources about deferred action and AAPI DREAMer organizing will be shared.
