If you're a film fan looking for the latest and greatest in Asian and Asian American cinema, Pacific Arts Movement invites to its 3rd annual Spring Showcase, a week-long 12-film presentation happening April 18-25 at Birch North Park Theatre and Digiplex Mission Valley. Program highlights include...




April 18: Linsanity! Don't miss the Southern California premiere of Evan Leong's hit Sundance documentary Linsanity, the extraordinary and inspirational story of trailblazing Asian American NBA player Jeremy Lin.



April 18: Spring Showcase closing night film is the Bollywood blockbuster Jab Tak Hai Jaan, the final film by late director Yash Chopra, starring international superstar Shah Rukh Khan.



April 20 & 24: The homecoming screening of Chula Vista-based director Benito Bautista's documentary Harana, about the serenading traditions of the Philippines.



April 21 & 22: The Southern California premiere of the mainstream, girl-power inspirational comedy from North Korea, Comrade Kim Goes Flying. The film, which has been featured everywhere from the New York Times to the Wall Street Journal, is the first film to ever play in both North and South Korean film festivals.



April 23: Abigail Harm, acclaimed writer/director Lee Isaac Chung's fantastical tale, set in New York City, about a woman who finds an old Korean fable suddenly come to life -- in her apartment.
