Formerly known as the National Asian American Telecommunications Association (NAATA) CAAM is a non-profit organization dedicated to presenting stories that convey the richness and diversity of Asian American experiences to the broadest audience possible. We do this by funding, producing, distributing and exhibiting works in film, television and digital media.

Produced by CAAM, CAAMFest is the nation's largest showcase for new Asian American and Asian films, annually presenting approximately 130 works in San Francisco, Berkeley and Oakland. Since 1982, the festival has been an important launching point for Asian American independent filmmakers as well as a vital source for new Asian cinema, accepting films, videos, and digital and interactive media projects that are made by or about Asian Americans and Asians of any nationality.
The normal deadline is September 16, but if you're a slacker, you could always aim for the late deadline on September 30 or the extended deadline on October 7, though you'll have to pay a higher application fee. Whatever you gotta do. For further information, and to see the full rundown of submission guidelines, head over to the CAAM website.
