Angry Reader of the Week: Sheng Wang

"Grateful. Silly. Son of Taiwanese immigrants. Considerate party guest."

What's up, good people of the internet. It is time, once again, to meet the Angry Reader of the Week, spotlighting you, the very special readers of this website. Over the years, I've been able to connect with a lot of cool folks, and this is a way of showing some appreciation and attention to the people who help make this blog what it is. This week's Angry Reader is Sheng Wang.

Who are you?

Sheng wang

What are you?

Grateful. Silly. Son of Taiwanese immigrants. Considerate party guest. Food sherpa. Chill, easy and carefree until I am insecure, paranoid and particular. Spontaneous/procrastinator. Too lucky. Drunkle.

Where are you?

Los Angeles

Where are you from?

Born in Taiwan, raised in Houston, started doing stand up in the Bay Area, ran around Chinatown/New York.

What do you do?

Make funnies. Question my abilities. Share. Ride bikes/take walks. Go to the farmer's market to buy ugly apples with a matte finish. Hella organic berries. Adjust the lighting to promote relaxation. Excessively re-read written correspondence. Try to live consciously. Put on a smile in recognition of a shitty situation. Listen. Play.

What are you all about?

Growth. Spices. Moderation sometimes. Trees. Indoor plants. Outdoor animals. Parks and frisbee. Cookware. Improvising in the kitchen. Speaking up. Celebrating all the life. Engaging. Couches. Friendships. Simplicity. Material purging. Playing with context, pictures, ideas, words, textures, and contradictions. Science. Now.

What makes you angry?

I'm not an angry person because I don't deal well with that emotion. But I'm not into these things: accidentally reinforcing Asian stereotypes, regrets, violence, fear, selfish people, failure of humans to be humane, taking things for granted, hoarding reading materials that I don't read, phone addiction, sitting all day, working on the computer.
