Greetings, internet friends! You know what time it is. It is time, once again, to meet the Angry Reader of the Week, spotlighting you, the very special readers of this website. Over the years, I've been able to connect with a lot of cool folks, and this is a way of showing some appreciation and attention to the people who help make this blog what it is. This week's Angry Reader is Lata Pandya.
Who are you?
I’m Lata Pandya and I’m the sum of all my parts. Which means: I am a journalist, woman, daughter, fiancĂ©, Indian-American, Gujarati, wanderer, cautious optimist, sports fan, and power nap addict.
What are you?
A human. One with many feelings, emotions, and passions.
Where are you?
Currently, Montrose, CA. But normally in a car traveling from point A to point B.
Where are you from?
Originally from the SGV, repping the 626.
What do you do?
Currently, I am a journalist for the newsmagazine show SoCal Connected on KCET. I also freelance around Los Angeles and teach at USC. I love telling stories and inspiring others to share theirs. One of the reasons I wanted to go into journalism is because my job is all about discovery. This is great for a kid who was mediocre at math and okay at science. I get to share in the wonder and exploration of the world through words and pictures.
What are you all about?
I’m all about the truth. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Life is too short to not be brave enough to stand up for what you believe in. Also, balance. Because work means nothing if you can't enjoy your time off with the ones you love.
What makes you angry?
There are a lot of things that annoy me on the regular and usually pass with a deep breathe, or maybe a good scream in the car. But the things that really make me angry: racism, sexism, phonies, bureaucracy, duplicity, narrow-mindedness, disorganization, and inefficiency.
