'tis the season: dave liang's undercover christmas

Since we're now post-Thanksgiving and well into December, I guess we're in the clear to listen to Christmas music (if you haven't started already). Tired of the same old holiday tunes? Here's something fresh: Undercover Christmas.

Dave Liang, the guy behind The Shanghai Restoration Project, has just released this short but sweet Christmas EP featuring new odd takes on five classic holiday standards, including Deck the Halls, Up on the Housetop, Toyland, Auld Lang Syne, and Silent Night.

If you like Dave's Shanghai Restoration Project stuff, this is along the same lines, production-wise (though with far fewer Chinese instruments). For more information about Undercover Christmas: Chapter One go here. The EP is available for digital download from Amazon and iTunes.
