timothy tau wins 2nd prize in playboy's college fiction contest

For those you who read Playboy (ahem, for the articles, of course)... Just wanted to give a little shoutout to reader Timothy Tau of UCLA, who placed second in Playboy's annual College Fiction Contest. You'll see his name mentioned in the current issue, on page 66.

Timothy beat out tens of thousands of entries to grab the first runner-up prize with this story "Land of Origin," which he describes as "a love-crime story about a Taiwanese-American ex-pat who goes back to Kaohsiung, Taiwan and gets mixed up with betel nut girls and the gangster underworld."

Nice job, Timothy. Next year, you better win that Grand Prize!
