ten angry years

Why hello, Angry Readers. While today is Valentine's Day, by complete coincidence, it also just happens to mark the 10th anniversary of Angry Asian Man. I'm serious. Ten years ago today, I flipped the switch and launched the very first version of this blog. I had no idea what I was doing, nor did I ever anticipate any sort of readership. But here we are, ten years later. I still can't believe it.

Aside from feeling like a bit of a dinosaur, I'm just grateful. So let me take this opportunity to give thanks. Thank you to all the dedicated readers, new and old, who have made this blog what it is. Whether you've been here from the beginning, or started reading yesterday, none of this would've been possible without you.

Thank you to everyone who has spread the word, or passed along a link or took action and supported a cause. In short, thank you for giving a damn. This is an incredible community, and in these ten years, I've seen the best and worst of it. But through the struggles, triumphs and challenges, I'm just glad to be a part of it.

A huge thank you to my loved ones who have put up with the ridiculous time and energy I've poured into this runaway endeavor over the years. Believe it or not, I do have a life outside of this blog. But the blog, like anything you're passionate about, sometimes has a way of encroaching into my personal life. Much love.

And no thank you to the haters.

Like I said, when I started this blog, I had no idea what I was doing, or where it would take me. A decade later, I've met some of the most amazing people, made some great friends, and have had some fantastic opportunities open up for me. I don't take any of it for granted, and I'm grateful for all of it.

So please, stick around and help me celebrate. Not just today, or even just this month -- heck, why don't we make this a year-long observance? I've got some cool stuff in the works, and can't wait to share it with you. (I've already posted two awesome song tributes by Emi Meyer & The Shanghai Restoration Project and Adam WarRock.)

Thanks for coming along this far. We've got more to do. Stay Angry.
