In San Francisco, police are looking for two suspects who fatally stabbed a British tourist during a street robbery last month that was caught on surveillance video. The victim died in the hospital last week.
San Franciso police release surveillance video of deadly stabbing of tourist
44-year-old Paul Tam, a web project manager who was visiting San Francisco from Manchester, England, was stabbed in the head after a man and a woman tried to steal his messenger bag. The attack occurred on February 18, at around 8:30 PM, on Post Street between Franklin and Gough Street.
The surveillance video shows Tam trying to get away from the attacker, getting chased onto Post Street right before the assailant pounced and stabbed him in the head. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

During the course of the robbery, the male victim was attacked with a weapon. The two robbery suspects fled the scene on foot. On Thursday, March, 24 2016, the victim succumbed to his injuries and died. The victim was a 44 year old man who was a tourist from the United Kingdom. Video evidence was recovered that captured the brutal murder. Preliminary suspect descriptions are: -Black adult male approximately 5’10” with a heavy build last seen wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans -Black adult female approximately 5’4” with long dreadlocks or braids up in a ponytail. SFPD Homicide Investigators are seeking the assistance of the public to identify the outstanding suspects. Tam was stabbed with some sort of knife-like object. "It looked like punches but it wasn't," said San Francisco police Officer Carlos Manfredi. "The suspect was actually carrying some type of unknown object."
On Thursday, after hanging for a month, Tam succumbed to his injuries and died.
One suspect is described as a black adult male in his 30s or 40s, approximately 5-foot-10 with a heavy build last seen wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans. The second suspect is a black adult female in her late 20s, approximately 5-foot-4 with long dreadlocks or braids up in a ponytail.
The local police officer's association is offering a $5,000 reward in this case.
