sensitive guys with guitars

Singer/songwriter Jay Legaspi informs me about a couple of cool upcoming gigs he and some friends have put together this month to raise funds for charity: Sensitive Guys With Guitars. The awesome flyer above and name alone make this event worth going to.

The shows are funding two charities: GILAS, a very cool internet initiative in the Philippines, and Team Kaila/Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Here are details about the shows and the charities:
Our December shows are funding 2 charities. The first charity is GILAS, which is an initiative in the Philippines to fully wire all the public schools in the country with the Internet, so the kids will be able to connect with the world, and hopefully, become familiar with upcoming technology so that the next generation of graduates won't get left behind in the digital age.

The second charity we're donating to Team Kaila/Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The money we raise for the JDRF is actually being donated in honor of our friend Kaila, who is lives with Type 1 Diabetes. Team Kaila was the name of the walkathon team her mother formed.

The first event is being held here:
December 12, 2008

We also have a second event in NJ:
