Don't know how I feel about this. It's an age-old cultural prejudice. We all know that Asian families have long had a strong preference for sons instead of daughters, sometimes leading to drastic measures -- including abortion -- to ensure the birth of a son. It's ridiculous, but it's the truth, and it's had huge ramifications for families (and the population) in Asia. Crazy!

Now, researchers are finding the first evidence that some Asian immigrant families are using U.S. medical technology to have sons instead of daughters. The new research focused on Indian, Chinese and Korean families who first had girls then used modern technology to have a son: It's a boy!
