ecaasu 2009 at rutgers university

This is for all you students on the east coast. Heads up. ECAASU 2009, the East Coast Asian American Student Union conference, is happening at the end of this month, February 27 - March 1 at Rutgers University. This year's conference theme is "Distict Worlds, One Vision." If you're a student leader who gives a damn, you probably want to be there.

Like any good student conference, ECAASU will feature workshops, speakers, and performers, and a chance for students to gather, create a dialogue and share ideas about the important issues facing the Asian American movement. Speakers will include New York City Councilman John Liu, writer Cathy Bao Bean, author Pooja Makhijani, and educator Philip Poczik. I'll be there too.

To learn more about the conference, go to the ECAASU website here. If you're interested in going, and haven't signed up yet, the late registration deadline is this Friday, February 13. So make up your mind quick, and register here. I am looking forward to seeing you all there.
