Heads up, New York. Tze Chun's award-winning debut feature film Children of Invention is making its New York premiere at BAMcinemaFEST, the Brooklyn Academy of Music's inaugural film festival. This is your chance to support Asian American cinema and see a really wonderful indie film.

The movie, starring Cindy Cheung, Michael Chen and Crystal Chiu, is about two young children living outside Boston are left to fend for themselves when their hardworking mother gets embroiled in a pyramid scheme and disappears. BAMcinemaFEST screening times are:
