eat a filipino

What the... ? Yet another questionably named international snack food. This is apparently a delicious biscuit snack made by Kraft Foods, and available in Spain. It's a ring-shaped biscuit sold in several varieties, coated in either milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or white chocolate. And yup, they're actually called "Filipinos."

Why? I do not know. Perhaps, as Philippine Congressman Heherson Alvarez once suggested in 1999, it's an offensive reference to their color -- "dark outside and white inside." That's not cool. As usual, Wikipedia has the handy info: Filipinos (snack food). Whatever the case, it's got to be very weird for a Filipino person to come across these things at the Spanish 7-11. (Thanks, Kevin.)
