While I'd like to say that this is just a French thing, and a restaurant with a name like this would not go over well in the United States, we know that's actually not true...
There is, after all, the long-running Chink's Steaks in Philadelphia. Oh, you didn't know about Chink's? The eatery was apparently named after the restaurant's late former owner, who was given the childhood nickname by his friends who thought he had "slanted eyes." Yes, such a place exists.
