As the weather cools down and chills out, I've been enjoying Places and Spaces, the debut album from Filipino American Bay Area-based producer Green Tea, recently out from Plug Music Label.
It's a cool album with heavy synths, electro, 80s boogie, disco and acid jazz influences. It should appeal to fans of artists like Mark Farina to Masters at Work to Thievery Corporation. My favorite track is the disco hip hop-inflected "Future Classic" featuring Kero One. Hot song.
Places and Spaces is full of great grooves, and just a fun record to chill out to. You can pick it up at the usual online spots like Amazon
