The baseball season's over, and this is several months old, but I thought I'd share this cool photo that recently landed in my Inbox. That's Seattle Mariners outfielder Ichiro Suzuki meeting President Barack Obama back in July before the 2009 MLB All-Star Game. It's looks the Prez is autographing a baseball for Ichiro.
Ichiro told reporters that he had intended to play it cool and leisurely say "What's up?" when Obama came up to him. But once face-to-face with the President, Ichiro became star-struck and lost his nerve, mumbling something formal like, "It's an honor to meet you, sir." But apparently, Barack's a fan of Ichiro's too.
