It looks like UCLA football's offensive coordinator Norm Chow will be staying put with the Bruins, and passing up the opportunity to return to USC on the staff of newly hired head coach Lane Kiffin: Chow rebuffs USC, stays at UCLA.

The fierce crosstown rivalry has taken some twists and turns over the last week, with Kiffin ditching Tennessee to take the USC job following Pete Carroll's decision to become the coach of the NFL's Seattle Seahawks. And you thought NBC's late night TV talk show shuffle was drama.

For a minute, the media jumped the gun, erroneously reporting that Chow, widely respected as an offensive mastermind, had accepted a lucrative contract offer back at USC.
