Who are you?
I am an educator, community leader, activist, mentor, environmentalist, New Yorker, Angeleno, middle sister, second-generation Chinese American woman, Anteater (Zot! Zot! Zot!), Chinese school alumnae, photographer, fried chicken-lover, online shopper, jellyfish-lover (to look at and to eat), and Quan Phung's biggest fan.

Bad at math but really good at Asian Pacific American trivia (challenge me!)
Where are you?
I live in the City of Angels, but am usually in my Honda Civic Hybrid driving back and forth between Silver Lake and the Westside.

I was born in Pasadena, raised in Irvine, and lived in New York for 8 years.
What do you do?
I engage college students in Asian Pacific America and strive to cultivate civically engaged leaders who have a growing understanding of the issues, culture, and experiences of Asian Pacific Americans. I also try to engage APAs over-the-age-of-21 in our community. I am the Director for Asian Pacific Student Services at Loyola Marymount University and serve as a board member for the Asian Pacific Community Fund (a community-based fund that educates and encourages donors to direct their charitable giving to benefit community organizations serving the rapidly growing population of Asian Pacific Islanders in Los Angeles) and Project by Project (a national volunteer organization of social entrepreneurs that serves Asian American non-profits in need by raising public awareness, volunteerism and capital).
What are you all about?
I'm all about Asian Pacific America. I'm passionately interested and engaged in learning about and exposing Asian Pacific America. I want our stories told.
What makes you angry?
It makes me angry when Asian Pacific Americans are excluded, ignored, and rendered invisible. How institutions ignore our dynamic diversity and the academic research findings and continue to dismiss APAs as the model minority. And littering.
