Caught a glimpse of Brenda Song in the trailer for The Social Network. Directed by David Fincher and written by Aaron Sorkin, it's based on the true story of Mark Zuckerberg, who hatched an idea in his Harvard dorm room that became global social networking revolution. It's Facebook: The Movie.
Brenda is looking all growns up, and a long way from the Disney Channel. According to Google, she plays a character named Christy Lee. I don't know she's based on a real-life person, and if so, if that person was/is indeed Asian American. Maybe there's some reverse-21 casting going on. I don't know.
Perhaps not-so-coincidentally, the movie is based on the book The Accidental Billionaires
by Ben Mezrich -- the same guy who wrote Bringing Down the House, which became the movie 21. I guess the guy likes writing about true tales of college students making insane amounts of money.
