I meant to post something about this a while ago... For those of you in Los Angeles, Giant Robot and Liberty in North Korea are hosting a book signing tomorrow evening with Laura Ling and Lisa Ling, co-authors of Somewhere Inside: One Sister's Captivity in North Korea and the Other's Fight to Bring Her Home
. It's happening Saturday, July 17 at GR2. I still haven't had a chance to pick up this book yet, but I do definitely want to read it. I don't think Laura and Lisa have done many signings (if any), so this is a pretty cool opportunity. Laura Ling was vice president of Current TV's investigative journalism series Vanguard, and also served as an on-air correspondent for the show. Prior to joining Current in 2005, Laura worked as a series producer for Channel One News.
Lisa Ling is a correspondent for the Oprah Winfrey Show, and a contributor to ABC's Nightline and the National Geographic channel. She was also a co-host of ABC's The View until 2002.
