aaiff'10: interpretations panel


If you're in New York, and headed to the Asian American International Film Festival this weekend, I wanted to throw out a little extra love for the Interpretations panel, put together by director Justin Lin and his colleagues at YouOffendMeYouOffendMyFamily.com.

Interpretations is a new initiative to support aspiring filmmakers. Tomorrow;s panel will present the commissioned Interpretations short films and a discussion about the art and business of filmmaking. It's happening Saturday, July 17 at Clearview Chelsea Cinema. Here are some details:

Director Justin Lin (Better Luck Tomorrow, Fast & Furious) and his colleagues at YouOffendMeYouOffendMyFamily.com have launched INTERPRETATIONS, a new initiative to support aspiring filmmakers (Info at: www.interpretationsfilm.com). I'm particularly interested in this panel because it will feature the world premiere of actor Ken Leung's directorial debut -- the brand-new, Interpretations-commissioned short film Rumble.
