Young leaders! I'm talking to you. The Asian American Justice Center is recruiting recent high school graduates and college students to represent its national Youth Advisory Council, working to address issues of civil rights and racial equity pertinent to the Asian American Pacific Islander community. Youth Advisory Councilmembers will have the opportunity to:
  • Meet local and national policy moves, shakers and makers
  • Receive technical assistance and resources on issues to bring DC to your campus/community
  • Get access to local and national conferences and trainings including the Annual Advancing Justice Conference
  • Gain firsthand experience in local grassroots advocacy organizing to form policy solutions
  • Get looped in about exciting post-graduated opportunities
AAJC is offering mini-grants (that mans money) and other resources to help you implement your dream community-based program, campaign or event from start to finish. If you have an idea, this program could help you make it a reality.

The deadline to apply is Wednesday, October 13 at 11:59 pm EST. For more information on the Youth Advisory Council, and to apply online, or to download an application, go to the Asian American Justice Center website here. And spread the word.
