7th annual asian heritage street celebration: open call for performers

Calling all performers! The AsianWeek Foundation is looking for talented up-and-coming artists to be a part of the festivities at the 7th annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration, happening Saturday, May 21 in San Francisco. Musicians, vocalists, dance groups and other entertainers are encouraged to apply.

Previous performers have included Far East Movement, Lyrics Born, Jin the Emcee, Apl.de.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas, Jasmine Trias, Jose "Sway" Penala, Native Elements, San Francisco Taiko Dojo and more. You could be the next big star to take the AHSC stage. Here's some more information:
The Asian Heritage Street Celebration, the largest Asian Pacific American event in the nation, will be held Saturday, May 21, 2011 in San Francisco, in front of the Asian Art Museum, leading up to the little Saigon District, and features today's Asian American pop culture, artists, DJs, martial arts, Filipino American Jazz, Muay Thai Kickboxing, food, arts and crafts, anime, free community health screenings and exciting prizes.
