2011 EMERGING LEADERS IN PHILANTHROPY AWARDS
The Asian Pacific Community Fund (APCF), in partnership with Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy – Los Angeles (AAPIP-LA), will be recognizing a young generation of community leaders committed to the betterment of the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) community through their volunteer activities in philanthropy. Whether these young leaders worked to raise funds, generate resources, or direct resources to the API community-- by acknowledging these leaders and sharing their successes, we hope to encourage others to engage in philanthropy and service to the API community as well. The awards will be presented at the 3rd Annual Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy Awards Reception to be held in early March.
INDIVIDUAL AWARDS
* Distinguished Leader in Philanthropy (Ages 18-24)
* "Russell Sakaguchi" Distinguished Leader in Philanthropy (Ages 25-35)
The "Russell Sakaguchi" Award recipient will also receive a $500 grant award to be given to a community organization serving the Asian and Pacific Islander community in the greater Los Angeles area. The organization must be a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization in good standing.
