Remember brothers David Fung and Andrew Fung? They cracked us up last year with their hip hop ode to San Gabriel Valley eats. They're back with a new rap outfit, Model Minority -- as D-One, Grand Master Chu, and Inglish -- and are overtly making music that reflects the lifestyles of young Asian Americans.
Model Minority recently dropped their first mixtape, The Model Minority Report, with song covering topics like academic pressure from parents ("Overachiever") to, of course, Asian food ("Asian Food Rap"). Check it out:
You can download The Model Minority Report from Bandcamp here. They also recently produced a track dissing Rush Limbaugh and his idiotic ching chong mockery, saying enough is enough: We're Not Feelin' Him (Rush Limbaugh). Take a listen:
Pretty good stuff. The song is available as a name-your-price digital download here. Nice work. I'm looking forward to hearing more from these guys -- and we all know there will be plenty of stuff for them to rap about.
