8+1: a symposium, voices from the asian american literature review, may 7


This weekend in Los Angeles, renowned and emerging Asian American writers will converge for a day-long celebration of contemporary literature, 8+1: A Symposium, Voices from the Asian American Literary Review. It's happening Saturday, May 7 at the Japanese American National Museum in Little Tokyo.

The Symposium will feature nine of today's most accomplished and exciting Asian American writers, including Joy Kogawa, Kip Fulbeck, Rishi Reddi, R. Zamora Linmark, Reese Okyong Kwon, Viet Nguyen, Hiromi Ito with award-winning translator Jeffrey Angles, Ray Hsu and Brian Ascalon Roley. Here are some more details about the event:
