Hey, Los Angeles. On Friday, April 6, the UCLA Asian Pacific American Law Journal is hosting "Claiming Our Rights," a symposium on Southeast Asian American communities creating change through law.

The keynote will be Judge Jacqueline Duong of the Santa Clara Superior Court. Other speakers include members of Khmer Girls in Action, APALC, and the Southeast Asian Community Alliance. Here's more info:

The UCLA Asian Pacific American Law Journal (APALJ) invites you to join us on Friday, April 6, for a symposium on Southeast Asian American communities creating change through the law.

*Claiming Our Rights* will feature the work of academics, community leaders, and attorneys who are leading campaigns, empowering communities, and developing policies, strategies, and solutions to advance the rights of Southeast Asian American communities. Panelists will discuss a number of topics including the harmful consequences of deportation, harassment and policing in schools, profiling by law enforcement, and the fight for environmental, housing, and economic justice in Southeast Asian American communities.
