Jackie Chan goes full-on Revenge Dad in 'The Foreigner'

Trailer for upcoming action thriller promises a darker, revenge-ier Jackie Chan.

Jackie Chan is not messing around anymore. While the 63-year-old international action star is known for his comedic physicality and upbeat everyman hero roles, the new trailer for the upcoming thriller The Foreigner promises Chan in full-on Revenge Dad mode, à la Taken. And that means a lot of people are gonna die.

Chan plays a humble London businessman Quan, whose long-buried past (cue vintage photo of young shirtless Jackie) erupts in a revenge-fueled vendetta when his teenage daughter is killed in a terrorist blast. In his search for the identity of the bombers, Quan is forced into a cat-and-mouse conflict with a British government official, played by Pierce Brosnan, whose own past may hold clues to the identities of the killers.

Note the look on Jackie Chan's face. That's a look that says I am going to kill all the terrorists.

These Jeopardy contestants all deserve to lose.

"Who is Jet Li?" And martial arts movie fans are shaking their damn heads.

Keen-eyed Twitter user "echan" caught this awkward moment on Jeopardy last week, as all three contestants failed to correctly crack a video clue about martial arts star Jet Li, who as a child performed wushu for President Richard Nixon. It's a triple stumper, as Steve and Ava predictably and erroneously blurt out the only two Asian movie stars they've ever heard of. And Adam's got nothing.

18MMW presents Bruce Lee vs. Jackie Chan

The battle you've been waiting for, but not quite the battle you expected.

Yesssss. Another crazy-ass, silly stop-motion action figure video from 18 Mighty Mountain Warriors: Bruce Lee vs. Jackie Chan -- the epic battle you've been waiting for. But maybe not quite the battle you expected.

This will be particularly amusing to folks who know a little something about the lore behind the making of Enter the Dragon. Sharp-eyed fans know that Chan was one of the stuntmen who got his ass beat by Bruce in the movie. (Watch this first.) 18MMW imagines what that encounter might have been like on set. Check it out:

An important tip from "Jackie Chan"

Ha. Saw this making the rounds from Reddit... So an Asian guy named Jacob goes to eat at a restaurant, and overhears his waitress repeatedly referring to him as "Jackie Chan" with her co-workers. Rude as hell. I'm generally not crazy about stiffing wait staff with a crap tip, but sometimes a lesson must be learned.

Use that tip wisely, ignorant waitress. Signed, Jackie Chan.

Jackie Chan joins the cast of Expendables 3

It was inevitable. Jackie Chan has confirmed that he's joining the cast of The Expendables 3. Yes, they're making a third one: Jackie Chan Joins 'Expendables 3,' Eyes New Project With Chris Tucker.

Chan is indeed the latest aging action star to join the Expendables team. This week, at a Kuala Lampur press conference promoting his latest film, Chinese Zodiac, Chan revealed that Sylvester Stallone had invited him to be in the next installment of the franchise:
