gabrielle union stars as john cho's fiancee in flashforward

A bit of interesting casting news from ABC's upcoming sci-fi thriller series FlashForward... Actress Gabrielle Union has joined the cast as a criminal defense attorney engaged to Special Agent Demetri Noh, played by John Cho: Gabrielle Union on FlashForward's hopeful diversity.

The pairing of her African American character and Cho's Asian American character was apparently deliberate, and the cultural aspects of their interracial relationship will be explored. That's cool, though I hope that's not all their relationship is about. FlashForward premieres September 24 on ABC.
