ack! comics: take two dudes from the mahabharata and put 'em in jersey

Got a big kick out of this first edition of ACK! Comics, by Monsoon Studios, in which "two dudes from the Mahabharata end up in Jersey." Here's the concept:
Welcome to Issue 1 of ACK!

We've noticed that entertainment just seems to work better in Jersey.

Are you sick of The Real World? All you need to do is replace the predictably diverse cast of rejected Benetton models with hard-nosed guidos. The result is wild success with Jersey Shore! Add some Carmela Soprano to the dainty antics of the Real Housewives of the O.C., and it becomes a vicious, endlessly-entertaining cat fight. Even a show that's about pastry can become CAKE BOSS, if you just add a little Jersey.

So, we wondered...how far can this brilliant formula go? Could it work with the classics? Would Shakespeare be more entertaining if Romeo was a guido? ("Julie, get your lazy ass down from that balcony! What the f*** is wrong w'chu?") What if you took an old Indian epic and moved it to the Garden State? Would it be even MORE EPIC?

Only one way to find out. Take two dudes from the Mahabharata and put 'em in Jersey.

ACK! Inspired by Amar Chitra Katha and coming at you weekly.
ACK! Comics are brought to you by Sandeep and Aron, who drew their inspiration from Hindu folklore. For more info, including an explanation of the characters (and New Jersey), go here.
