First look at the new Ms. Marvel in action

Marvel Comics' newest superhero is 16-year-old Pakistani American teenager from New Jersey



Marvel Comics shook things up when they announced they were rebooting Ms. Marvel as an all-new superheroine, Kamala Khan, the 16-year-old Muslim American daughter of Pakistani immigrants living in New Jersey. Kamala, the creation of writer G. Willow Wilson, artist Adrian Alphona and editor Sana Amanat, is the first-ever female Muslim title character to get her own monthly book from a mainstream publisher.

The new Ms. Marvel debuts in print and online editions on February 5. This week, WIRED dropped a first look at the new Ms. Marvel in action. Check it out:
